Green Smoothies – part 8: Building Muscles Naturally with Green Smoothies
Green Smoothies also clear the myth that ‘real’ muscles can only be built by eating large amounts of meat. When our bodies use animal proteins to obtain the necessary amino acids, the digestive system uses much more energy to split up the long amino acid chains, so they can be used in our cells. This way a lot of energy is lost already which could otherwise be used for building muscle mass. Green plants contain less complex protein molecules but more essential amino acids in single form, so they get absorbed by the body very easily. This is also the reason that body builders, who eat a raw-vegan diet and drink a lot of Green Smoothies, only need to go to the fitness studio two to three times a week for an hour at a time. The body not only absorbs the vital nutrients including natural fatty acids and proteins much faster but also retains these in the cells for much longer because of their natural quality. People who build muscles this way report that they also have a more beautiful shape and muscle mass is not lost so fast, if they train less or not at all for a while now and again.
We should not forget that the strongest animals, who live free in nature, like gorillas and elephants, but also horses and cows, ingest only raw food mainly in the form of green leaves.
